AGRT Facility, CSIR-CGCRI

AGRT Facility was established in the year 2017 as a collaborative effort of CSIR-CGCRI and Glazing Society of India for the research and testing of Architectural Glass, glazing products and its associated materials in India. The AGRT Facility is supported by the Indian Glass and Glazing Industry, Government Organizations and others. AGRT Facility is the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Approved Laboratory for testing Float Glass as per IS 14900 and Safety Glass as per IS 2553 - Part 1 and for other Glass testing.

The facility in-houses the capacity for research and testing of the following glass, glazing products and its associated materials as per Indian and International Standards.

  • Float Glass for Quality Performance
  • Safety Glass including Laminated Glass and Toughened Glass for Quality and Structural Performance
  • Characterization of Glass - Thermo-Physical-Optical Properties
  • Simulation for Energy Performance of Coated Glass
  • Coated Glass Quality and Durability
  • Glass Composition
  • Glass and Glass Ceramics for Photonics
  • Solar Cell Applications
  • Rare Earth Associated Nano Crystals for Solar Concentrators and IR Sensors
  • Glass Ceramics for Armour Applications and for Nano metal glass nano composites

AGRT Facility, CSIR-CGCRI carries out many research and development activities related to Energy and safety performance of glass, coating durability analysis of glass and many others.
