Inaugural of Architectural Glass Research and Testing (AGRT) Facility at CSIR-CGCRI

The New Architectural Glass Research and Testing (AGRT) Facility at CSIR-CGCRI was successfully inaugurated by Dr K Muraleedharan, Director, CSIR-CGCRI in the presence of  Mr R Subramanian, Chairman, GSI and MD, Saint Gobain India, Mr N G Rau, Secretary, GSI and Director, Gujarat Guardian Ltd, Mr Rupinder Shelly, Treasurer, GSI and ED, AIS Ltd, Dr Ranjen Sen, Head, Glass Division, CSIR-CGCRI, 

Mr Mahesh Arumugam, Director, Meinhardt Facade India and Members from Industry and CSIR-CGCRI.  

The inauguration was well attended by 70+ participants. 

This research and testing facility along with Glazing Society of India would support the entire glass construction value chain with its strong research and testing capacities in various areas including high performance glass, processed glass and float glass. This initiative would support in the implementation of the National Codes and Standards for the use of architectural glass in modern buildings.
