Launch Event of R Subramanian (RS) Fellowship Awards

The “R SUBRAMANIAN (RS) FELLOWSHIP AWARDS” was launched in the memory of our Late Founder Chairman, Mr R Subramanian, who was the proficient leader and guide in building Glazing Society of India as an independent, inclusive technical organization for glass and glazing in India.

The RS Fellowship Awards is a novel initiative of GSI and the main objective of the awards is to encourage and build the research and study on glass, profiles, façade, fenestration and its associated materials in India. The research and study will be focussing on the quality and performance of materials and on the application and functional aspects of the same in buildings in India. The RS Fellowship Awards will be supported by the entire Glass and Glazing Industry, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), CSIR – Centre for Glass and Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI) and CEPT University.

The Launch Event of R Subramanian (RS) Fellowship Awards was held via Video Conferencing on 6th March 2021. The event was graced by Mr Alok Modi, Gujarat Guardian Limited; Mr Sanjay Labroo, Asahi India Glass; Mr B Santhanam, Saint Gobain India Pvt Ltd; Prof. Arul Jayachandran, IIT Madras; Dr K Annapurna, CSIR-CGCRI; Prof. Rajan Rawal, CEPT University; Mr A R Unnikrishnan, Chairman, Glazing Society of India; Mr Gopal Ganatra, Treasurer, Glazing Society of India; Mr Saurabh Kankar, Secretary, Glazing Society of India; Mr Gohul Deepak, Executive Director, Glazing Society of India and other dignitaries from Industry, Academia and Government.
